1921

New Siren

The fire bell is replaced by a siren becuase people had moved out of town and the bell was hard to hear. 

1921

First Dispatcher

A dedicated female was hired to answer all fire calls. She recived an extra 50 cents a month and is the first dispatcher for the West Point VFD. 

1926

Terminal Hotel Fire

The second of the two hotels on the point, Terminal Hotel, burns down. This was an end of an era. The hotel wasn’t as grand since the town went dry in 1914)
