With an average of 700-800 calls for service each year, the West Point Volunteer Fire Department provides primary fire protection and emergency medical services coverage to West Point and the southern portion of King William County. Through mutual agreements, we provide services to New Kent County and all of King William County.

The West Point Volunteer Fire Department was organized in 1904 due to a devastating fire the previous year. Since then, the department has become one of the region's most respected, cutting-edge departments. The department and our volunteers have been recognized with multiple awards throughout our history – demonstrating the dedication of our members to our communities.
